Novelo Filmes

Novelo Filmes is an independent, women-led video production company based in Florianópolis, Santa Catarina. With 15 years in the field, the company produces feature films, documentaries, TV series and shorts, and also offers mentoring and training programs through its Novelo Encontros label. Its first fiction feature, 'Virtuosas', won the Netflix Prize at the 3rd edition of the acquisition award of the São Paulo International Film Festival. The company also develops projects such as 'Casarão' and 'Quero Ser Veg', along with co-productions with Globo Filmes, TV Globo and NSC TV, building an authorial perspective attentive to human and political relationships.
