APTC-RS is the Professional Association of Film Technicians of Rio Grande do Sul, a professional body that has spent 40 years defending and promoting video production in Rio Grande do Sul. Its main focus is representing film technical workers and promoting local production, acting as an essential collective force for the industry. The association is not a commercial video production company, but rather an organization that brings professionals together and develops projects to strengthen the regional film chain.

Among its main achievements and initiatives are the creation of the IECINE short film award, the founding of Fundacine, and the conception of the Curta nas Telas project. APTC-RS is also responsible for drafting and disseminating important industry documents, such as the Audiovisual Sector Guidance Guide, and for organizing film showcases, such as the APTC Showcase of Award-Winning Gaúcho Shorts in Gramado.

The association maintains an active channel of communication with its members and the public through newsletters featuring updates from the video production world in Rio Grande do Sul. One of its flagship projects is the Protocolo Objetivas, an initiative dedicated to preventing and combating harassment in the video production workplace.
