Founded in 2015, Lamparina Filmes is an independent production company created with the purpose of shining a light on authentic stories from the Brazilian Amazon. Headquartered in Pará, the company works in film, TV (broadcast and cable), internet and new media content, institutional and corporate content, and advertising. Its two founding partners, André dos Santos and Artur Arias Dutra, bring years of experience in video production, moving between the experimental and the documentary, from advertising to institutional work.

The production company stands out for its sensitive perspective and commitment to the social and cultural issues of the Amazon region. Grounded in the region, it seeks to tell the story of the Amazonian people not just for locals, but for all of Brazil. Its work takes place both in rural and urban settings, in the forest or in city outskirts, always with the mission of shedding light on issues that touch the region's time and its people.

The Lamparina Filmes team is made up of multidisciplinary professionals. Artur Arias Dutra is a director, director of photography, screenwriter and editor, with a degree in Social Communication from Universidade Federal do Pará, focused on the documentary genre. André dos Santos is a director, video producer, screenwriter, photographer and documentarian, having studied cinematography at the Academia Internacional de Cinema in Rio de Janeiro. Denise Schaan rounds out the team as executive producer, producer, screenwriter and assistant director, bringing her background in anthropology and archaeology to the projects.

The production company's portfolio is marked by independent video productions that document cultural expressions and traditions of Amazonian peoples. Projects include documentaries such as 'Mãe Lulu', which portrays the oldest Tambor de Mina terreiro in Pará, 'Mestre Camaleoa', about a resident of Ilha de Maiandeua, and 'Mestre Chico Braga', which covers carimbó from Maiandeua. The company has also produced 'Limiar' (fiction), 'Marambiré' (documentary), 'Samba de Cacete Alvorada Quilombola' (documentary), 'Mestres Praianos' (documentary), 'Sou(l) Kilario' (documentary), 'Calibre' (mini-doc) and 'Ver-o-Mundo' (documentary), among others.

Lamparina Filmes' projects often involve partnerships with traditional communities, quilombola communities and holders of popular knowledge. The production company carries out research and ethnographic documentation work, such as the documentary 'Garimpo Tocantinzinho', which portrays the struggles and life stories of small-scale miners, and 'Mina Dois Irmãos: raiz, tambor e fé', which documents the history of a Tambor de Mina terreiro founded in 1890 in Belém.
